New Castle Information about track meet for parents/fans: Thursday April 10, 2025 vs NC/Yorktown Meet begins at 5:30 pm Enter main football gate Tickets sold at gates ($6.00 per person). Everyone K-Adult must purchase a ticket You may also stand along the fence line if you like or bring your own chairs but no fans inside the track area Items for your team: NO entrance via north athletic gate, must come to field via main gate at football stadium Bring own water bottles for meet Team camps located on the west side bleachers (visiting football section) Coaches, police team camp areas and make sure your area is clean, please Athletes should stay off of football field area and not congregate around start/finish line Pole vault and long jump are located on the north end of the track and the high jump is located at the south end of the track Shot put and discus is located outside of track on north side of the new tennis courts area. GENERAL MEET INFORMATION Starting Heights: High Jump: 4’ for girls, 4’6 for boys. Pole Vault: 6’ for both girls and boys. We plan on doing an open board, cafeteria style for Long Jump. Boys and Girls can get their jumps in at any time, just check in/out with the worker there as they do so. Shot Put, Discus, and Long Jump will be 3 attempts, no finals. Plan on girls first in all running events, and Girls going first in Shot Put and High Jump, Boys first in Discus. Pole Vault will be together, Long Jump will be together. With it being a 3-way meet, we will score 4 places for individual events and 2 for relay. Also, lane races will only get 2 entries to the varsity race (which will occur first), then we can run JV heats as necessary. The 3200m Relay and 3200 M Run will be run together.
