The IHSAA just completed the re-classification process for the next years (through 2027-2028) and Wapahani will remain in class 2A. This does not affect anything with the MEC and will not have a major change in the Sectional pairings; however, Madison-Grant did drop to 1A, which will eliminate them from our Sectional next year. The IHSAA will look to replace Madison-Grant moving forward. The student enrollment for Wapahani is currently 332 and the largest 1A school's enrollment is 320, so the margin is slim, but for now, we will be staying in class 2A for all sports using the class ranking system.
